How do we learn?

Neuroscience is helping to provide us with answers to these questions and old myths are falling fast! We now know that in order to learn, a students must be moving, talking and writing about what they are learning. Learning should be fun. Not only do we learn and remember more when we enjoy success, we also are more willing to seek out challenging learning experiences.

We are all in the process of becoming experts in something. The more of our knowledge we share with others, the more we learn. And finally we learn when we are free of threat. The safe and nurturing environment in Catholic schools provides ideal surroundings for learning. Children feel cared for and safe. We make learning happen!
